Well guys, summer is officially here. Yesterday I watched my youngest graduate kindergarten while I cried like a baby.  My other two children have also moved on to 7th and 10th grade, and today is our first day of summer break! I was dreading hearing “Mom…I’m bored” all summer long so I set out to find a variety of toys that would help me make it through the summer just a little bit more sane. Here are some of our favorite picks for summer fun:

Splash Out is an action-packed extreme outcome game, where you need to provide answers quickly and correctly, and pass the ball on, or you will get splashed out!  At its core, Splash Out features a ball that contains a water balloon. It includes a wind-up timer, and when the timer goes off, the water balloon is punctured.  Whoever is holding the ball gets splashed with water!  This is a fun game that the whole family can have fun with, even Mom and Dad!  The box suggests ages 8 and up, but my daughter who is 6 can play with no problems and has tons of fun.

Kids will have a JUMBO good time this summer with the new Mega Melon Sprinkler Ball from Prime Time Toys.  Standing 3 feet tall, this giant, melon ball of fun, spouts water from four different fountains, and connects to a standard garden hose for super convenient fun.  It’s the super soaker inflatable of the summer and you don’t want to be caught without one!

Getting the upper hand in competition has never been easier with the Tidal Storm Battle Monster. The pressurized supermax water blaster action will send water soaring up to 38 feet! Dominate Battle Monster’s two blast modes. Attach to standard garden hose for Constant Blasting. For Blasting on the go, detach garden hose and use Battle Monster’s standard pressurized water blasting mode. Pump to build pressure and pull trigger for continuous stream. Each blast mode works with the adjustable spray nozzles.

Headed to the beach this summer?  This handy, stackable beach basket has everything! The Deluxe 20 Piece Beach Basket Set from American Plastic Toys includes a lid which doubles as a sieve. The roomy basket holds a pail, two boats, three hand tools, three castle molds, three large sand shapes, four medium sand shapes, a large character shovel, and a sprinkling can.

Like most homes, we BBQ a LOT during the summer.  This American Plastic Toys My Very Own Grill toy is perfect for little ones to cook alongside the grillmaster.  Train them on the grill early with the American Plastic Toys My Very Own Grill. It features wheels, side shelves, and a lightweight lid. Your little one will barbeque just like mom and dad with realistic grill. The eight-piece accessory set includes tongs, spatula, and playfood.

Another SUPER fun beach toy is the American Plastic Toys Seashell Roller.  This long, wooden-handled, ocean-themed roller is sturdy and perfect for a day of fun at the beach. Simply press and roll it over damp sand to make imprints of starfish, crabs and sea shells!

With these fun accessories, I’m looking forward to summer being one big ball of fun.  Make sure you grab a few of these to keep on hand for those ‘I’m bored’ days in your home too!
