Week 7 On Nutrisystem…There’s No Chocolate Like ‘Diet’ Chocolate #NSNation #Ad

Oh. My. Goodness.  The Nutrisystem life just keeps getting better and better!  My official weigh in after week 6 brings me to a total of 12 lbs lost!  I can’t believe how incredibly easy it is to lose weight following the Nutrisystem plan.  I love being able to just grab something that sounds great and eat it.  There’s no debating back and forth in my mind whether I should/shouldn’t have it, I can just simply eat what I want…guilt free!

I was a little worried when I first started the plan that the food would be bland, and there wouldn’t be many options that I liked.  Man, was I ever wrong.  I have only had 3 things I haven’t liked, and I’ve tried virtually the whole menu now so that’s not a bad record.  All of the food is tremendously amazing, and I can even have chocolate on days where I’m really craving it.  The lunch bars are usually chocolate coated and those really help save me on days where I want something sweet.  I think my favorite lunch bar is the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bar.  I get to have something on the Nutrisystem plan that makes me feel like I’m splurging without spoiling all of the dedication I’ve put in thus far.

As if delicious lunches weren’t enough, I really have to say that the dessert options are totally rockin’!  My birthday was last week and I was able to have the Nutrisystem Chocolate Cupcake so I could celebrate my birthday with a delicious treat without the high amount of calories.  What an incredible way to lose weight…being full all day and still being able to have chocolate!!!

Week 6 On Nutrisystem…There Is No Such Thing As A Small Victory!! #NSNation #Ad

I am starting week 6 full of ambition and drive.  In the past 5 weeks I have grown to love the Nutrisystem plan, and love it more and more every day.  The food is amazingly delicious, and so simple to follow the plan.  I love how many different options there are so no matter what you’re in the mood for, you can find something on the Nutrisystem plan that completely satisfies your cravings.  The ability to have what I want has really helped me stay on track, and so far I have lost 10.6 lbs!

I had to request a slightly different present from my husband for Valentine’s Day.  Nutrisystem has worked incredibly well for me…so much so I asked my husband for a new bra and underwear for Valentine’s!  I couldn’t stand tugging my undies upwards all day long, and because my inch measurement for my bra has changed, mine was no longer fitting comfortably at all!  I have even been able to wear a pair of jeans that I haven’t worn in a few years.  I tried them on wondering how much more I needed to lose to wear them and I was completely surprised when they actually fit!!

Tomorrow is my birthday, and I have the most incredible best friend in the world.  She sees how hard I’ve been working, and bought me a FitBit Fitness Tracker for my birthday.  I can’t tell you how long I’ve been wanting one but just couldn’t budget it in yet.  The FitBit is helping me stay motivated and ready to take on more and get healthier one day at a time.  I can’t wait to check in with you all next week and see how much more progress Nutristystem has helped me achieve.

Week 5 On Nutrisystem…Loving The Nutrisystem Plan More And More Every Day #NSNation #Ad

O_64b0fea1b7e98c5c5b71df2f84ff768cnutrisystem_logo

Every morning when I get dressed, I’m surprised by how my clothes are changing in how they fit.  I’ve even had to move down a size in underwear because my old ones were just falling down all day long.  As if that weren’t a great enough feeling, the compliments that come along with weight loss feel pretty great too.  I’ve heard numerous times from my friends and family that I’m looking great, and I have to say I’m FEELING great too!

I hope none of my friends and family members are annoyed by how much I talk about Nutrisystem…but if I can bring up Nutrisystem in a converstaion I WILL.  I love how I’m learning to become healthier, and in turn making healthier decisions for my family.  Talk about a win win situation!  I wasn’t going to share progress pictures until the very end, but I thought maybe it would be good to SHOW you guys how well the plan is working.  I will apologize ahead of time…the before picture is pretty hard to look at.  I can’t believe how I had let myself go.  BUT I am happy to share these pictures with you guys because a picture is worth a thousand words, and the before and after week 4 photos speak volumes for the ability to lose weight while staying full all day long on the Nutrisystem plan.

afterweek4.jpg

Yeap, in the past 4 weeks I have lost an incredible 9.6 lbs!!  I still have 45.4 lbs to lose to reach my ultimate goal, but I’m confident with Nutrisystem I’ll get there in no time.

Unboxing Nutrisystem Shipment #2 #NSNation #Ad

O_64b0fea1b7e98c5c5b71df2f84ff768cnutrisystem_logo

I received my second Nutrisystem shipment yesterday, and I couldn’t wait to unpack it all!  I ordered some of my favorites from last month as well as some new items to mix things up and see what else Nutrisystem offers that I might like.  You’ll notice there are some items that there are multiples of, and others not so much.  Keep in mind, I order my food and pick what it is that I wanted.  I am a bit of a creature of habit, as well as a picky eater so when I find something I like, I tend to stick with it and venture out of my comfort zone only slightly.

frozenfoodcollage.jpg

The frozen foods are all delicious, but there are obviously more frozen dinners than any other meal.  The reasoning for this is I find the frozen dinners are more flavorful, but also because the shelf stable grab-and-go foods are just easier for a busy mom of 3 like myself.  For breakfast I ordered frozen waffles, homestyle pancakes, thick sliced french toast, and some turkey sausage egg muffins.  Frozen lunches just don’t work well for me…I live in a very rural area, and when I have to go into town I’m gone for at least a few hours.  I really rely on the shelf stable lunches to get me through.  Dinner is where I get to sit down and really enjoy my meal.  I ordered chicken bacon ranch pizza, roasted turkey medallions and mashed potatoes, sweet and sour chicken, whole wheat ricotta crepes, margherita pizza, and broccoli and cheese stuffed chicken breast.  Desserts I also prefer the shelf stable ones, but my birthday is in a couple weeks and I wanted to be able to celebrate without spoiling my diet.  I will have a cupcake in the near future, as well as one on my birthday so I can indulge while still staying on the Nutrisytem plan.

ssfoodcollage.jpg

The shelf stable foods are more abundant, but remember I’m the one who chose my foods and am VERY happy with my selections.  For breakfast I ordered biscotti bites, chocolate biscotti bites, chocolate frosted doughnuts, granola cereal, honey wheat bagels, oatmeal cranberry bites, and sweetened o’s cereal.  Lunch bars work best for me so you’ll notice quite a few of those…they really help curb sweet cravings while being easy to take on the go.  Lunch items include three cheese chicken, white cheddar mac and cheese, spicy kung pao noodles, beans and ham soup, white bean chicken chili, sweet bbq sauce with pulled style pork, fudge graham bars, chocolate chip cookie dough bars, and chocolate covered cherry bars.  Dinner is mostly pizza, but they are so delicious and if you could eat pizza almost every day, wouldn’t you??  For dinner I ordered chicken alfredo, chicken bbq & beans, italian herb flatbread pizza, sesame ginger chicken, and thick crust pizza.  Last but not least, my favorite ‘meal’ of the day…dessert.  My desserts include apple pecan bites, carrot cake, cheesecake flavored bars, chocolatey pretzel bar, coconut almond bar, dark chocolate sea salt nut bar, milk chocolate covered pretzels, nutrichocolates, sweet and salty snack mix, thin mint crisp bars, toffee crunch cookies, walnut chocolate chip cookies, and white chocolate chunk cookies.

I have to say, judging from what I’ve had so far, this shipment may be better than the last.  Keep following my journey to see what can be achieved just by following the Nutrisystem plan.

Week 4 on Nutrisystem…Who Knew Weight Loss Could Be So Simple?? #NSNation #Sponsored

O_64b0fea1b7e98c5c5b71df2f84ff768cnutrisystem_logo

Well, here I am starting week 4 on Nutrisystem, and I have to say I just keep finding myself more pleased with the program every single day.

nsweeks3food.jpg

The food is incredibly delicious, more so than I thought it would ever be.  Besides the benefit of the great tasting food, the program is just so simple to follow that it’s almost fool-proof.  I love that I don’t have to think about calories, inspect my food labels, measure or weigh my foods…any busy mom of 3 like myself just wouldn’t be able to keep up with that and inevitably fail.  I keep my Nutrisystem foods organized so all I have to do is go look at what’s in my breakfasts, lunches, dinners, or snacks, pick what sounds good, and eat it.  It really is just that simple!

I was SO pleased when I stepped on the scale this morning and saw that number on the scale!  This week I was down another 1.4 lbs to make a total of 8 lbs.  In three weeks I find that incredibly good and can’t wait to achieve my goal together with Nutrisystem.  My clothes are already starting to become bigger as I shrink out of them and that’s a pretty amazing feeling.  I can’t wait to see how next week goes, wish me luck!!

Week 1 On Nutrisystem…Let’s Get This Party Started! #NSNation #Sponsored

I am BEYOND ready to get started on my Nutrisystem program!  After having 3 kids I found myself very unhappy with the weight that just never seemed to go away.  Before I had kids I would fluctuate between 125 and 130 lbs and considered myself to be a pretty healthy person.

I lost my father when he was only 57 years old and all of his health issues that caused his death were because of his obesity.  When he passed away he was 350 lbs and his heart just couldn’t function any more.  He had been diabetic for years and refused to take care of himself.  He had high blood pressure and ignored his doctor’s recommendations so it only got worse.  Before his death he was at risk of having one of his feet amputated due to the diabetes and he didn’t do anything, again, to help the situation get better…he would call me bragging about the 6 cupcakes he ate for breakfast.  Because of all of these issues my dad’s heart became enlarged (it was double the “average” size) and it couldn’t pump anymore, it just quit.  Although I miss my dad terribly every day, there are times where I feel a little anger towards him.  Why didn’t he take better care of himself?  Why didn’t he see the obesity was causing his slow death and just get healthy?  If he just made a few small changes would he still be here?

20140626_100134

THIS is my motivation.  I have three of the most beautiful children in the world and I would hate to inflict the same pain on them because I didn’t do something to improve my health.  I will not let my children lose their mother at an early age and have any sort of anger towards me because I could’ve solved the problem by simply getting healthier.  I WILL be around for a long time to see them grow and flourish into wonderful human beings.

So here I am, starting my Nutrisytem journey.  I am currently 180 lbs and SO ready for this change.  For my first week I am doing the Turbo 10, which is basically an accelerated weight loss program to get you started on the right foot.  The  Turbo 10 program has 7 breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, as well as 7 Turbo shakes, and 7 Nutricrush shakes.

The Turbo 10 will also come with the Turbo Takeoff booklet that will be your key to succeeding this first week.  Be sure to read everything!  There is TONS of useful information and great suggestion to help you stay on track.

I can’t wait to check in with all of you next week!  Wish me luck!!!
