Learning Box Preschool Week 14 #Review

LearningBoxPreschool

Week 14 with Learning Box Preschool was fun as always!  Jade and I had a blast discovering new things and making fun yet educational crafts.

Monday:

MondayCollage1.jpg

Monday was Halloween and we had so much fun with Halloween themed activities.  Jade absolutely loved having her foot painted and using the print to make a spooky ghost.

MondayCollage2.jpg

Jade did a great job following instructions and listening to clues to put the right people in the right spots.  What a smart little girl!

MondayCollage3.jpg

Being safe on Halloween is rule #1!  Jade and I practiced trick-or-treating to get ready for the evening so we could have a fun, safe time.

Tuesday:

TuesdayCollage1.jpg

Tuesday was a fun day of introducing our new posters to go along with our new theme for November.  We added a new number, 4, and Jade did a great job putting the numbers in their correct spots.

TuesdayCollage2.jpg

Every month we make a new name tag to go along with our theme.  Jade really used her imagination when coloring her turkey!

Wednesday:

WednesdayCollage1.jpg

Learning new letters is always fun, especially when it’s ‘L’ for ‘ladybug’!

WednesdayCollage2.jpg

Jade got to practice writing her name all by herself and as you can tell from the picture, she was SO happy when she was able to do it better than ever.  She drew a fabulous picture of herself to go along with her name 🙂 .

WednesdayCollage3.jpg

We’re learning all about the 5 senses, and after learning a bit about sight, Jade decorated some glasses and glued them onto her little print-out character.

Thursday:

We had a really great opportunity to be visitors at Jade’s older brother’s school on Friday, so we combined Thursday and Friday into one day so we didn’t fall behind 🙂

ThursdayCollage1.jpg

The letter ‘a’ can also be a word, and Jade is doing a great job learning all about the letter ‘a’ as a word.

ThursdayCollage2.jpg

Using your sight is fun, but it’s even MORE fun when you get to decorate and make your own telescope.

ThursdayCollage3.jpg

Making a rainbow square was one of Jade’s favorite things this week.  She loves rainbows!

ThursdayCollage4.jpg

A sense of hearing is also so important!  Jade had fun shaking containers and using just her hearing to try and figure out what was inside.

LearningBoxPreschool

As Halloween drew nearer Jade was more and more excited by the day.  She was anticipating the fun day and really enjoying the Learning Box Preschool lessons that went along with the Halloween theme.

Monday:

MondayCollage1.jpg

Practicing the letter ‘P’ and she’s so good at it!  She loves how ‘pumpkin’ starts with ‘p’.

MondayCollage2.jpg

We’re still continuing with our AAB pattern and Jade did a great job making this pattern with pumpkins and pointing out the AAB patter on the wall.

MondayCollage3.jpg

Matching emotions was no match for this little smarty pants!  She was able to make all the matches without needing any assistance, what a smart girl!

MondayCollage4.jpg

The jack-o-lantern phase of the pumpkin life cycle is probably the most fun of all!  Jade had fun drawing a jack-o-lantern and putting it in her pumpkin life cycle book.

Tuesday:

TuesdayCollage1.jpg

Jade has done a fabulous job remembering all of our sight words.  With the addition of one of her own words, she can read a whole sentence!!

TuesdayCollage2.jpg

After jack-o-lantern there are plenty of seeds to plant to start the pumpkin life cycle all over again.

TuesdayCollage3.jpg

We’ve had so much fun making various types of pumpkins and Tuesday was no exception.  Stuffing a paper bag with old newspaper was easy and with a little paint and one piece of ribbon you’ve got one creative pumpkin.

Wednesday:

WednesdayCollage1.jpg

Jade did a fabulous job sorting all of the cards into the right column.  She’s an expert on the number 3!

WednesdayCollage2.jpg

In Jade’s Pumpkin Book, she was SUPER excited to see a page where she gets to draw her own pumpkin.  She couldn’t wait to create a fun and unique pumpkin.

WednesdayCollage3.jpg

This little pumpkin pro did a great job putting together the life cycle of the pumpkin.  We even went outside and planted a few seeds.  (I know they probably won’t grow, it’s the wrong time of year to plant them, but she had fun and I wouldn’t have it any other way.)

Thursday:

ThursdayCollage1.jpg

Thursday was a day that Jade really enjoyed!  She got to change up a rectangle and see how many different things a simple shape can become.

ThursdayCollage2.jpg

PUMPKIN MAN!!!  What a fun activity this was!  Jade is still carrying around her new buddy pumpkin man and having Halloween adventures with him.

Friday:

Friday we took a day off and participated in some local Halloween activities.  That’s one of the beautiful benefits of Learning Box Preschool…you can contour your plan to YOUR life, and let your child really get the fullest experience they possibly can.

Learning Box Preschool Week 6 #Review

LearningBoxPreschool

What a week we had!  Week 6 was so much fun, and we even got to celebrate a special day, Grandparent’s Day!  I really love the addition of the special days in the Learning Box Preschool curriculum, they offer a nice break for the kids while learning about something fun and new.

Monday:

Monday was Labor Day, so we took the day off, just like Jade’s big brothers 🙂

Tuesday:

TuesdayCollage1.jpg

This month we are learning all about the colors red and yellow.  Jade got to make a fun little red and yellow book.  She got to color the pictures and cut and assemble to book all by herself.  Look at how good she’s doing!

TuesdayCollage2.jpg

Continuing on with the letter ‘M’, Jade got to do a fun letter ‘M’ worksheet.  You can see how proud of herself she was when she completed it.  She’s so proud of herself, as she should be.

TuesdayCollage3.jpg

Jade is slowly finishing up her ‘self’ book.  On Tuesday she got to trace her hand and decorate it any way that she wanted to.  I think the green nails were a nice touch 🙂 .

Wednesday:

WednesdayCollage.jpg

Wednesday we got to introduce a new letter…F!  Jade loved gluing on the letter and then making a funny face on the bottom.

WednesdayCollage2.jpg

Sight words are so important!  My sons worked on these when they were young as well but I think Jade really has a good understanding of it even more so than her brothers did.  Jade got to make a book all about ‘and’…she loved it!

WednesdayCollage3.jpg

Understanding emotions, both your own and others, is very important.  Jade did a great job matching the different pairs of emotions.

Thursday:

ThursdayCollage1.jpg

More working on emotions and Jade did a great job.  I gave her a little card with a scenario on it and she had to place it in the category of how she would feel if she were in that situation.  Sympathizing is important and Jade did a great job understanding how others, or herself, would feel in those little scenarios.

ThursdayCollage2.jpg

I gave Jade an open ended sentence of ‘I can……’.  She finished off the sentence with ‘dance on the moon’, such a great imagination.  She did a great job tracing the rest of the sentence and drawing a beautiful picture of herself dancing on the moon.

Friday:

GrandparentsDay.jpg

In honor of Grandparent’s Day, Jade got to make a beautiful card for her grandma.  We got to learn all about the roll that grandparents play in the family and what makes them so fun.  Jade can’t wait to send this card to grandma!!

Parish Parcel Cajun Curated Subscription Box #Review

Parish_Parcel_Logo_2_colorResize.png

If you haven’t heard of Parish Parcel yet, you’re missing the greatest thing you’ve never heard of.  They offer a variety of Cajun items in a monthly subscription box for Cajun lovers like me.  My oldest son and I LOVE Cajun food so getting to try a Parish Parcel box was like heaven delivered to my door.

ALouisianaBox.jpg

Each Parish Parcel box will contain 6-8 uniquely Cajun and authentically Louisiana made items to your door.  Included each month will be a taste of Louisiana, including; spices, apparel, food, art, music, recipes and Louisiana made merchandise.  The box that I received was FABULOUS!!

Coffee.jpg

One of my favorite items was the Chocolate Pecan Pie coffee from Acadian Coffee Roasters.  The aroma is reminiscent of a piping hot pie being freshly pulled from the oven at your Grandmother’s on Thanksgiving Day.  This coffee has a nice smooth, rich, and sweet flavor that will make your mornings deliciously better.

CookieCutter.jpg

The state of Louisiana cookie cutter I received is absolutely adorable!  Louisiana state colors are blue, white, and gold, so I figured what better way to ice these cookies than with Louisiana state pride?

CreoleSeasoning.jpg

Tony Chachere’s make a Creole Seasoning that is a great spice addition to just about anything.  Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning enhances the flavor of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, eggs, soups, stews, and salads – even barbecue and french fries!  Use it anywhere, any time, on any food.

DrinkCozy.jpg

The Parish Parcel drink cozy is great for keeping my drinks cool and sweat-free in this Arizona heat!

JambalayaHotSauce.jpg

The Walker & Sons Slap Ya Mama Cajun Jambalaya Mix and the Cajun Chef Hot Sauce paired perfectly together!  It was like having a little bit of Louisiana at home and it was DELICIOUS!

QueenOfBourbonCandle.jpg

Last but not least, the Bourbon Royalty Queen of Bourbon candle that was included in my Parish Parcel box.  The scent of this candle is out-of-this-world good.  This candle marries the bite of run with the sweetness of fruit.  For being a small sample of this candle, it still filled my home with an amazing scent.

If you or anyone you know LOVE everything Cajun, this box is a must-have!  It would make an amazing Christmas gift this year, or even just an anytime gift.  Product after product, you’ll develop a love and fondness for Louisiana.

Learning Box Preschool Week 1 #Review

LearningBoxPreschool

Our first week of Learning Box Preschool was a blast!!  The circus theme is so much fun!  My daughter has really been enjoying herself and it’s a great feeling seeing her learn and grow all while having the pleasure of teaching her myself.

Monday:

Day1Collage1.jpg

I am trying to keep things true to a school experience for Jade, so day 1 I had her trace her name on a name tag that will sit on her work area for a couple weeks.  I also left a space for her to draw a picture of herself on there 🙂 .  Getting her used to her name is the biggest goal for now, so name puzzles are a great way to open up every day after the discussion question.

Day1Collage2.jpg

What fun would a circus be without a tent?  Jade had so much fun painting and creating her tent.  She loved creating something all by herself, and I loved watching her develop skills that she will need when she goes to kindergarten.

Day1Collage3.jpg

Circus snack bags are a fun way to get kids more engaged in the circus theme.  Jade drew stripes on the lunch bags to look like circus snacks and we filled the bags with roasted peanuts, yum!

Tuesday:

Day2Collage1.jpg

This little sheet that Jade filled out is now proudly hanging on our fridge.  She loved tracing her name that I’d dotted out for her and she’s SO proud of the picture of herself that she drew.

Day2Collage2.jpg

Circus lions can be scary, but not this one!  Jade painted her own lion mask and pretended to put on a lion show at the circus.  Building fine motor sills while creating something that will engage imagination…what could be better?

Day2Collage3.jpg

More circus themed snacks that all little toddlers will love.  These lion crackers are fun to make and delicious to eat…making snacks is always fun!

Wednesday:

Day3Collage1.jpg

Name puzzles are something you’ll probably see from time to time.  Jade loves putting them together and is starting to get pretty quick at it!

Day3Collage2.jpg

Tigers are another fun part of the circus show!  Jade had a ton of fun creating her tiger mask, then we put on a show together using the lion mask from day 2.

Day3Collage3.jpg

Tiger striped bananas?  Yes please!  Use a little carmel and chocolate sauce to create fun tiger stripes on bananas.  It tastes delicious and is easy enough for kids to do themselves.

Thursday:

Day4Collage1.jpg

Learning to lace can be tough…this lacing circle exercise is a great way of teaching kids to learn the basics of lacing, which will come in handy when learning to tie shoes.  Of course, Jade had to decorate it after she created it.  What fun would it be without decorations?

Day4Collage2.jpg

Everyone loves silly clowns, and Jade had fun making her own little clown.  She is starting to get pretty good at using the glue!  Very little mess and a too-cute finished product.

Day4Collage3.jpg

Easy to make face paint will help your little one feel like they’re in on the circus act.  Jade chose a few of her favorite colors and we had fun making her look like a clown.  (Don’t mind the cornstarch all over the table…it was messy but fun>)

Friday:

Day5Collage1.jpg

Circles, circles, and more circles!  Jade had fun creating a circle collage and she did a great job too!  She’s got the circle shape down pretty good and loved all of the different sizes.

Day5Collage2.jpg

Over the course of the curriculum Jade will complete this book a little bit at a time.  She got to decorate the cover and paint her first page.  I can’t wait to see how the finished product is 🙂 .

Day5Collage3.jpg

No circus act would be complete without a trapeze artist.  Jade got to create her very own trapeze artist and create a working trapeze!

I’m loving that I get to watch my little princess grow and bloom.  I can’t wait to see how fun next week is!

Welcome To The Learning Box Preschool #Introduction

LearningBoxPreschool.jpg

The Learning Box Preschool is a company that I am SO THANKFUL to have come across!  My youngest child is 4, soon to be 5, but misses the kindergarten birthday deadline because school has already started here where we live.  We live in a very rural area, and the closest school is 15 miles one way.  Due to transportation issues (one vehicle that my husband uses for work), my daughter will not be able to attend preschool, and she was so incredibly upset when she found out.  That’s when I started searching for a solution to fill the educational wants and needs of my daughter.  I came across the Learning Box Preschool and it looked like an amazing program, and I am blessed to have been able to review a month curriculum box and share our experience with you all.

20160730_122053.jpg

Inside your curriculum box, you will find lots of helpful information.  You can see the full year’s curriculum laid out, and will have a detailed plan book that will walk you through each day so that you can successfully teach your little one easily and effectively.  There are even extra activities included for each day that look like so much fun!  My daughter and I will be doing LOTS of the extras!

20160730_122141.jpg

Any materials that you will need as the teacher will be laid out for you in weekly bags.  I’m loving how simply everything is laid out.  It makes it easy for me in the role of teacher to go through the curriculum without any guessing or confusion.

Daily.jpg

All of the materials you will need for your child are also incredibly organized.  Each day is laid out in it’s own bag with a slip telling you exactly what is inside.

extras.jpg

There are even extras included for creative arts and special theme days that every kid will love.  Every day you’ll open with a discussion question (which are also provided), and Learning Box Preschool even thought of all the details, including a cute little box to put the questions in.  My daughter loves adorable little boxes, and I know that discussion question time will be a huge hit with her.  She will love opening that box every day and pulling out the question.

LearningBoxPreschoolDisplay.jpg

Inside of your Learning Box Preschool kit, you will find all of the wonderful display posters you see here.  You will receive absolutely everything you need to create a fun and functional learning environment, even at home.  You can order these boxes for anywhere from 1-24 children, so whether you’re looking to preschool at home or use this amazing curriculum in your preschool, this is absolutely the best way to go.

LearningBoxPreschoolJade.jpg

I walked away from setting up posters for a little while, and you can see that my eager learner was already checking everything out.  I came back into the room to find her adorably checking out the sign language poster and following along.  (She HATES being caught off guard for a picture, heaven forbid she doesn’t have time to pose, so sorry for the silly face but it was too adorable not to share.  She saw the flash and swung around quickly to see what I was taking pictures of HAHA!)

We will begin our curriculum on Monday August 1st, and we are both very excited!  At the end of each week I will be sharing our experiences and sharing some of the projects and crafts that we have completed.  I hope you all stay along for this educational journey and see how wonderful the Learning Box Preschool is.
